Tragic Hair

 

Prunella had asked for her hair to be cut "In The Tragic Fashion", and Arturo had reluctantly obliged.
Now she had the unpleasant duty to inform him that she hadn't a penny to her name, and accordingly, in order to pay for the cut, she must beg for mercy, but would probably be cruelly denied and then thrust into his servitude, sweeping the floors and cleaning the latrines.
But after all, wasn't that the point of the haircut?
