Olympism

 

There was never a more damning argument against the Fairer Sex participating in sports activities than the outbreak of "Olympism"; a chronic condition, manifesting itself in random upthrusts of the arm, resulting in general alarm and embarrassment; apparently caused by attending, or merely reading about the "Modern Olympic Games" held in Athens, Greece, just this last Spring of 1896.
